Effective November 1, 2023.
The Citizens Bank Fraud Center is implementing a new 6-digit reference number assigned to each outbound SMS, emails, and voicemails to our Cardholders.
Cardholders will be required to provide the case reference number to authenticate themselves on inbound calls to the Fraud Center.
This new requirement will further secure calls when cardholders are confirming “no fraud” on suspicious activity before the Automated or live agent removes the authorization prohibited status on the card.
